Manchester United have now agreed personal terms with an £80 million+ player ahead of the summer transfer window, according to a reporter.
Man Utd transfer news
The summer transfer window can not come soon enough for Ruben Amorim, as he is in desperate need of better quality players and players who suit his 3-4-2-1 formation. The Portuguese is determined it is his way or no way, but he is going to have to wait a little while longer yet before he can get players into the club that are more equipped to play in this style of football.

Man Utd may wish they had his goals this season
One area of the pitch United are looking to strengthen in the summer is the forward line, as both Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee have struggled in front of goal. It’s been reported this week that United have made a verbal contract offer to Victor Osimhen, as he looks set to leave Napoli at the end of the season.
The Red Devils have also made it clear to the Italian side they are willing to pay his £62 million release clause but do face strong competition from Paris Saint-Germain, who are also willing to do the same.
But as well as looking at Osimhen, United are also considering a move for Porto striker Samu Omorodion, who has impressed in Portugal this season. Scouts from Old Trafford are said to have watched the player in action, and he could be someone United considers if other targets don’t work out.
Man Utd agree personal terms with Sporting wide man
Geovany Quenda is another player being heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford, and according to Ben Jacobs via The Sun, United have now agreed personal terms with Quenda ahead of a summer transfer.
At just 17, Quenda has broken into the Sporting CP team this season as a versatile right-sided player. He is rated as one of the biggest talents in football, and a report earlier this week revealed that United are progressing in talks to sign Quenda.
United want to pay £33 million to sign the player, but Sporting are looking to get closer to the £50 million mark, which is a surprise given he has a 100 million euros release clause (£83m).
In a new update, Jacobs has told talkSPORT, via The Sun, that the Red Devils have now struck personal terms with Quenda on a long-term deal. “The player has agreed verbally to personal terms. He’s waiting to see if the club’s pre-agree (a fee) or wait until the summer.
“And the price United are looking at is 40 million euros (£33m). Sporting want a minimum of 60m euros (£50m). There’s a release clause at 100m euros (£83m).
“So if United can get this one done south of 60m euros (£50m), it’s not only a good signing for now and the future, and a player Amorim knows really well, it’s also another deal they can potentially get without being forced to, for example, Rasmus Hojlund, pay more than they ideally want to.”
Quenda’s arrival at Old Trafford would likely see him become United’s long-term right wing-back, as that is where Amorim nurtured the youngster during his time at Sporting.
Despite only being 17, the Portuguese has shown great maturity but has also shown his quality, and United will believe Quenda not only improves them now, but he is someone that will only get better and better in the years to come.
