As Leeds United continue their march towards Championship promotion, the 49ers have reportedly accepted an offer to part ways with one player who was previously labelled “League One” level.
Leeds transfer news
Sat three points clear at the top of the Championship, Leeds have 11 games to keep hold of their position and secure their return to the Premier League. As ever, anxiety will be increasing at Elland Road, especially after last weekend’s 1-1 draw against West Bromwich Albion, but those on the pitch must hold their nerve.
Do that and those in Yorkshire could begin to set their sights on a busy summer transfer window. After watching on as Southampton, Leicester City and Ipswich Town get things wrong in the top flight, the Whites will be well aware of just how important it is to enjoy a successful window full of the right incomings if they want to avoid the same fate.

Leeds believe they can sign “quick” £3m Celtic star for cheap this summer
Leeds are keen on signing a winger in the summer, and they have their eyes on what they think will be a cheap deal.
Before incomings, however, it seems as though Daniel Farke is set to bid farewell to one particular defender once and for all. According to Sky Sports’ Florian Plettenberg, the 49ers have accepted an offer worth an initial €6m (£5m), which could increase to €8m (£6.5m) with add-ons, to sell Rasmus Kristensen to Eintracht Frankfurt this summer following the defender’s loan spell in Germany.
Given that Kristensen’s last appearance for Leeds came at the end of the 2022/23 season, in which the Whites were relegated, his sale has been a long time coming at Elland Road.
Leeds set to finally sell Kristensen
Arriving in the summer of 2022, Kristensen started 21 Premier League games in a season to forget for all involved at Leeds, before opting out of joining his teammates in the Championship by joining AS Roma on loan and then making a similar move last summer to Frankfurt. In truth, for all parties, a sale has been the right move for some time, making Frankfurt’s offer one that Leeds should have been glad to receive.
Kristensen certainly hasn’t earned many fans during his time at the club, with Leeds content creator Conor McGilligan going as far as labelling the Dane a “League One” level player last year.
Now, a year on, the defender is finally set to get his move and put Elland Road behind him. Leeds, meanwhile, are set to receive a fee that they can reinvest into a reinforcement they hope will be capable of keeping them up in the Premier League should they secure promotion in the remaining months of their campaign.
Reportedly agreeing their first sale ahead of the summer, the Whites could be in for a busy transfer window.
